1.Qualification and  conditions  required  for  admission:

Each year 40 students will be admitted, once a year, to the course. For Asha Niketan School of Nursing, GNM Course is only for women and those fulfil the following conditions are eligible for admission.

  • GNM course is limited to female candidates only, who are physically and mentally fit.
  • Candidates must pass 12th standard from any State recognised Board (Preferably in Science) with a minimum of 50% marks. 5% of total marks are relaxed for SC/ST candidates.
  • Candidates must pass 10+2 with English and must have obtained a minimum of 40% for English individually from any recognized board.
  • Candidates must pass 10th standard from any State recognised Board with a minimum of 40% marks.
  • Registered ANM/LHV
  • Candidates are also eligible from State Open School recognized by State Government & National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) recognized by Central Government
  • Age: Between 17 - 35 years on the date of admission according to the school leaving certificate, but preferably below 25 years of age.
  • Any other reservation as per the State Govt. under the reservation policy.
  • Reservation will be included in the seats sanctioned and not beyond it.
  • All candidates admitted to the course must undergo a medical check-up in our hospital and should be declared medically fit before joining the course.
  • All candidates admitted to the course must reside at the Nurse's Hostel provided and are to maintain high standards of moral conduct at all times.
  • Students are not permitted to pursue any other educational course during the training period.
  • To ensure the qualification, eligibility will be equivalent to what has been prescribed above.
  • 3 % disability reservation as per INC norms may be considered.

Candidates fulfilling the above conditions will be directly admitted to the GNM Course for 3-yr duration. Selection of candidates for admission will be done on the basis of merit with preference to higher qualification. Students must take Admission within 07 days from the date of declaration of the Selection list.

Application forms at the time of submission must be accompanied by the following documents:

  1. Two recent passport size photographs (not older than six months).
  2. Attested photocopies, by a gazetted officer, of Class 10th Board (for age verification)
  3. Attested Class 10+2 or equivalent class mark sheet, by a gazetted officer, admit card as well as pass certificate (Original or Provisional.)
  4. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC communities must submit the attested photocopies of respective Caste certificate issued by not less than Sub Divisional Officer/District Magistrate/Competent authority of the State {OBC candidates must produce a current caste certificate that they belong to non-creamy layer).
  5. One Self-Addressed Envelope (26 cm X 12.5 cm or equivalent) with postage stamp of Rs. 25.00 (Rs. Twenty Five Only) for dispatch of admission letter.
  6. Candidates will have to produce all original certificates for verification at the time of assessment/admission or at any time subsequently, when ever asked for. If the information given or documents submitted by the candidate is found to be false/fake, then her candidature will stand cancelled (ipso facto).
  7. Incompletely filled application or application submitted without requisite document(s) will be rejected. Right to admission of GNM course is subjected to Nursing School discretion.

 

2. Medium of Instructions:

Students must have good knowledge of English to understand and follow the course. Medium of Instruction is English (preferably) but Nursing Candidates who come from Hindi medium could have extra classes arranged for their improvement.

3.Application Form:

All female candidates who fulfil the eligibility criteria intending to join the course should apply ONLY in the prescribed application form attached at the end of the course application. Any other form will not be accepted.

Admission Procedure:

A)Registration :

Candidates seeking admission in GNM courses will pay a registration fee of Rs 600/-(non refundable) by cash or Demand Draft. The Prospectus and Application Form may be obtained from the office of ASHA NIKETAN SCHOOL OF NURSING, 11 No. Bus Stop, ARERA COLONY, BHOPAL or from the WEBSITE of ASHA NIKETAN SCHOOL OF NURSING.  on deposit of the Demand Draft of Rs.600/- (Rs Six hundred Only) drawn in favour of Principal, ASHA NIKETAN SCHOOL OF NURSING, BHOPAL payable at STATE BANK OF INDIA, MAHAVIR NAGAR BHOPAL, BRANCH  IFSC-SBIN0003867   or by cash between 09.00 am to 1 pm on all working days.


B) Call Letter

Selected candidates will be intimated of her admission to the GNM course through a call letter or by SMS on her mobile number. The student will also be informed about the payment of fees by Demand Draft before the stipulated date.

C) Selected candidates will meet the Director/Principal/Vice Principal of ASHA NIKETAN SCHOOL OF NURSING as per call letter along with original certificates, Demand Draft, for GNM Course to secure admission.


The Principal reserves the right to reject the admission on the grounds of failure to produce original certificates for scrutiny and demand draft for course fees. The selected list will be displayed on the NOTICE BOARD or from the website of the school. It is therefore necessary that students register themselves for the course and visit the school to ensure admission for the GNM Course.


D) The final decision regarding all matters related to the admission of the students to the GNM Course rests with the Principal and Management of ASHA NIKETAN SCHOOL OF NURSING.
